MOST MEETINGS OF THE BOARD HAD BEEN IN VIOLATION OF THE STATUTE. THIS INCLUDES THE MEETINGS WHICH WERE CALLED EMERGENCY MEETINGS.

Associa employed a director's son... This was not disclosed before the election by Associa or the candidate.
The contract with Associa was reinstated 30 minutes after they were elected to the board... Open meeting statute violation. If the board members were to be transparent, they should have followed the open meeting statute by calling a meeting with 48 hours' notice to the members to consider this action. This was not an emergency, and the newly elected board certainly didn't seek the advice of our attorney or their predecessors.

The candidates promised not to conduct Executive Board Meetings.
Their promise was broken... They conducted an Executive Board Meeting on January 8th. (It took them 8 days to violate a promise.)
Why? Because all boards must have this option. Their ignorance and arrogance led them to promise something they could not possibly commit to.

Another open meeting statute violation
Furthermore, there are Committee Charters in place that this and future boards must follow, unless they are canceled in an open meeting and new charters are approved and installed. Based on these Committee Charters, all committee meetings must be agendaized and held as open meetings if a committee quorum (a majority of the committee members) is present.
It is the management company's responsibility to ensure continuity. Associa failed once more.
Transparency? No notice of a meet and greet at the park on February 4th by board.

We decided to keep it focused and simple...
This board was not harassed and left alone to do its job. We didn't want to play their games and further divide the HOA.
